Entopia by Penang Butterfly Farm

Formerly known as the Penang Butterfly Farm, Entopia is a transformed nature learning destination that combines a butterfly garden with an interactive insect museum. The name "Entopia" combines "entomology" (the study of insects) and "utopia," reflecting its mission to create an ideal space where humans and nature can coexist harmoniously. The facility is divided into two main sections: The Natureland, which is a living garden vivarium housing over 15,000 free-flying butterflies from 60 different species, along with various insects, reptiles, and small animals; and The Cocoon, an indoor discovery center featuring interactive exhibits and learning stations about the world of invertebrates. Visitors can witness the complete life cycle of butterflies, from caterpillars to chrysalises to adult butterflies, in the breeding laboratory. Entopia emphasizes conservation and environmental education through its carefully designed exhibits and programs, making it both entertaining and educational for visitors of all ages. The center also features lush gardens with over 200 species of plants carefully selected to support butterfly life cycles and create a sustainable ecosystem.
