Hast Imam Complex (Hazrat Imam Complex)

Historic Islamic complex with ancient manuscripts and architecture.

The Hast Imam Complex stands as one of Tashkent's most significant religious and cultural
landmarks, representing the spiritual heart of Uzbekistan's capital. This magnificent complex houses several important Islamic monuments, including the Barak-Khan Madrasah, Tellya-Sheikh Mosque, and the famous Othman Quran - one of the world's oldest Quran manuscripts dating back to the 7th century.

The complex serves as the official center of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan and attracts thousands of pilgrims and tourists annually. The architectural ensemble showcases traditional Islamic design with intricate tile work, elegant arches, and peaceful courtyards. Visitors can explore the Islamic Institute, library containing rare manuscripts, and various madrasahs that have served as centers of Islamic learning for centuries.

The complex offers insight into Uzbekistan's rich Islamic heritage and continues to function as an active religious site where local Muslims come to pray and study.
